- Day 1: Arrival at Colombo - Sigiriya
Arrival, Meet-Greet with our airport representative and Transfer from airport to hotel in Sigiriya. Visit Munneswaram Temple; close to Chilaw is one of the 5 major Shiva temples of Sri Lanka and Rameswaram islands. They are called Ishvarams. According to a Tamil legend, the temple is situated at a place where King Rama prayed to Shiva after committing the worst crime according to Hindu Dharma, namely Brahmahasti, the killing of a priest, because Ravana who had to be killed by Rama in order to liberate Sita, was of Brahmin caste. Later Visit; Manavari Temple; about 6 kms north of Chilaw, is the first place where Lord Rama installed a Lingam, as a remedy to Lord Shiva after committing Brahmincide by killing the King Ravana who was a Brahmin. This Shiva Lingam in Manavari is called Ramalingam because it was made by Lord Rama. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Sigiriya. - Day 2 : Sigiriya - Kandy
After Breakfast, proceed to Kandy. Visit Spice Garden at Mawanella; Sri Lanka is world renowned for its valued spices and healing herbs. These lush spice and herbal gardens feature many important herbs such as Sandalwood, Margosa, Cocoa, Citronella, Almond, Jasmine and Coconut. Later proceed to visit Temple of Tooth relic; located in Kandy, long a centre of the Buddhist faith, the stunning 17th-century. Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. Later we will take a City Tour at Kandy (Lake drive, Gem Museum, Silk shop, Batik etc.....). Evening View Of cultural show at Gem Gallery. After Breakfast check out from the hotel to Nuwara Eliya, where you will visit many exciting places. Visit Hanuman Temple; The temple is called Sri Baktha Hanuman temple and the image of Hanuman here is 16 Feet tall. The service times at the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple are between 07:00 am to 12:00 noon & 03.30pm to 6.30 pm. Later visit Ramboda Falls; a 109 m (358 ft) high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. Further proceed to visit the Tea Factory; Sri Lanka is an island made for tea. The country produces tea throughout the year and the total tea production is about 340 million kilograms per annum. Afterwards visit Gregory Lake; named after Sir William Gregory in 1873, this is a prominent attraction used for water sports and recreational activities. After proceed to hotel and have Dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy - Day 4 : Nuwara Eliya
After Breakfast at the Hotel looking forward to the Day full exploration, proceed to visit Hakgala Botanical Garden; the second largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, picturesquely situated in the hill country, the Hakgala Gardens at that time was one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana. Later visit Seetha Amman Temple; with reference to the Ramayana proof of Sri Lanka it is believed that the Seetha devi was kept captive at this site by King Ravana. Afterwards visit Moon Plains, also known as Sandathanne, was recently opened to the public in 2014 and has readily become one of the most loved biodiversity spots for travelers. Return back to hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. - Day 5:Nuwara Eliya – Ella - Yala
After breakfast proceed to Yala via Ella. Proceed seeing Nine Arch Bridge - Ella; the nine beautiful stone arches amidst the tea plantations has become a must- do activity for all travellers visiting Sri Lanka. Later spend some time at Little Adam’s Peak, Fly Ravana Zip line. Proceed to visit Ravana Falls; currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country. Arrive at Yala and have dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel in Yala. - Day 6: Yala – Galle - Bentota
After Breakfast check out the hotel and proceed to Bentota Via Galle. In Galle visit Galle Fort; Basking on the southern coast of Sri Lanka in the bay of Galle, the Fort was first built by the Portuguese in 1588, the Fort was declared a World Heritage Site in 1988. Proceed to Bentota, on arrival check in to the hotel and have dinner. Overnight in Bentota. - Day 7: Bentota
After Breakfast look ahead for a day full of excitement, Visit Turtle Hatchery; Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project; The main aim of the project is to monitor local sea turtle activity and conserve the local nesting sites. One of the most important activities of the project is its hatchery. Later Experience Madu river Safari; Madu ganga flows across Balapitiya (approx. 80kms down south of Colombo) and is one of the rarely visited, unspoiled attractions any nature lover can find in Sri Lanka.Enjoy some adventurous Water Sport at Bentota. Visit Other Hindu Temples – Sri Lakshmi Narana Perumal Temple; a historic temple located in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, renowned for its remarkable architecture and deep cultural significance. Visit Shakthi Peedam (Koneswaram Temple); This is the first Shakti Peeth mentioned by Adi Shankaracharya in his Stotra describing the 18 Shakti Peethas in the Indian Subcontinent. Adjacent to Koneswaram temple there is another small shrine; with some significance for Hindu pilgrims. The original Shankari Devi temple, said to be built by Ravana, was the first in the list of Ashta Dasha (18) Shakti Pitas written down by Adi Shankara. Later Visit Sri Bhadrakali Hindu Temple; dedicated to goddess Bhadrakali, the benevolent form of goddess Kali Amman. Along with her, there are idols of Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati.
